This is an object movie of the Nikon D-1 Camera, photographed by Brad Smith, an intern at the Visual Edge 99 conference. Concept by QuantumVR.com. An object movie is a series of still photos of an object, while the object is rotated on a turntable. The process is much like animation, where one frame is just slightly different from the previous frame. The viewer can grasp the hand icon and drag it, to rotate the camera. The Nikon D-1 camera was placed on a plate and rotated by hand about the plate's center. Some 38 digital images were taken, Photoshop-ed and processed using Apple's QuickTime Authoring Studio program.
